Our Mission
At Cornerstone Church, our mission extends beyond our walls. We strive to actively engage with our community and the world around us, fostering connections that embody love, support, and spiritual growth.

Our Mission Statement
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Matthew 28:19-20
Our mission statement encapsulates our devotion to Christ and our commitment to the Great Commission. Every action we take is rooted in the desire to share His love and teachings with others.
Commitment to Our Community
Our commitment to the Wausau community is a fundamental aspect of our mission. We are committed to helping members of our community and seek to give them the resources they need in order to know God and His love better. We acknowledge that everyone is at a different point in their faith journey and we seek to meet them where they are. For some, that means an invitation to worship, or simply to an ice cream social or barbecue. For others, it’s just providing words of encouragement from scripture or offering our prayers during difficult times.
Our support also extends beyond our walls. We are dedicated to contributing to God’s work in the larger world. We believe in making a tangible impact through our missions, which is why we allocate the first 10% of all offerings for outreach initiatives. This financial commitment allows us to contribute to various organizations that align with our mission of spreading God’s love and hope locally and globally.
Missions we’ve given to include:
–Bridge Street Mission: This organization focuses on equipping individuals in the Wausau area who struggle with homelessness, addictions, hunger, and sustaining a stable life so they can become healthy contributors to society.
–Hope Resource Center: HOPE offers Pregnancy Testing, Limited Ultrasound, STD Testing and Treatment for Women, Abortion Recovery Support, Pregnancy and Early Parenting Educations and Sexual Health Information free of charge to women in the Wausau, WI area.
–The Navigators (The Gwin Family): The Gwins are helping believers find security and identity in their relationship with Christ, and equipping individuals to live as active ambassadors and evangelists in their daily environments.
–The Binev Missionary Family (GEM): The Binevs are in Bulgaria growing the Lord’s Kingdom through evangelism, discipleship, training, and partnership.
–Dan & Nancy Rusch (WMPL): Dan and Nancy Rusch serve as Mission Home Managers for the World Mission Prayer League, hosting people as they prepare for intercultural missions and engage in prayer and learning scripture together.
